Correction of inverted nipple, nipple reconstruction (post mastectomy)

Symptoms & Suitability

Nipples come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The most common complaint that presents is a nipple that is inverted or non-protruding. Alternatively, the areola, the pigmented region around the nipple may be too large for the breast. Nipples also need to be recreated after breast reconstruction.

Surgery

I perform correction of inverted nipples, symmetrising of nipples and reconstruction of nipples after breast reconstruction procedures. Often in this situation the nipple is made and the areola is tattoed around the nipple.

Stay

All these procedures are at most a Day Ward stay, and little or no downtime.
